Architects spend much of their time in offices, where they develop plans, meet with clients, and consult with engineers and other architects. They also visit construction sites to prepare initial drawings and review the progress of projects to ensure that clients? objectives are met. About 1 in 5 architects were self-employed as of 2015, and the average salary for architects was $76,100 annually.
There are typically three main steps to becoming a licensed architect: completing a professional degree in architecture, gaining relevant experience through a paid internship, and passing the Architect Registration Examination. A typical bachelor's degree program includes courses in architectural history, building design using computer-aided design and drafting software (CADD), structural engineering, construction methods, and professional practices. The design studio is a central component of most architectural programs, where students apply the skills and concepts learned in the classroom to create drawings and three-dimensional models of their work.

Solar Cell Technology
The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) leads public research in innovative solar power technologies. Photovoltaic arrays, or PV for short, harness the sun?s power and turn it into electricity. When the sun shines onto a solar panel, photons are absorbed by the cells in the panel, which creates an electric field across the layers. Photovoltaic arrays must be mounted on a stable, durable structure that tilts the PV array at a fixed angle determined by the local latitude. To obtain the highest annual energy output, modules in the northern hemisphere are pointed due south and inclined at an angle equal to the local latitude. Alternatively, automatic mechanisms may be installed to move panels to track the sun across the sky, which provides more energy and a higher return on investment (ROI). Inverters are used to convert the direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar photovoltaic modules into alternating current (AC). Finally, large batteries allow for the storage of solar photovoltaic energy when bad weather blocks sunlight from reaching the photovoltaic panels.
Organic PV, or OPV, cells are composed of carbon-rich polymers and can be tailored to enhance a specific function of the cell, such as sensitivity to a certain type of light. This technology has the theoretical potential to provide electricity at a lower cost than silicon or thin-film technologies. Concentration PV, also known as CPV, focuses sunlight onto a solar cell by using a mirror or lens. By focusing sunlight onto a small area, less PV material is required. This technology uses mirrors to reflect and concentrate sunlight onto receivers that collect solar energy and convert it to heat, which can then be used to produce electricity.

Financial Aid Information
Government scholarships and Pell grant applications, combined with academic scholarships, only account for a third of total college aid. Student loans, work-study earnings, and personal savings make up the remaining two-thirds. It costs nothing to use the financial aid calculator online, and see if you qualify for need-based financial aid or a fee waiver. In fact, millions of students that would have qualified for some financial aid were late in submitting required grant application forms. The official FAFSA website is www.fafsa.ed.gov and is free to use. The earliest that the FAFSA form can be filled out is January of a student's senior year.
The IRS suggests that parents maintain accurate financial statements, including tax forms and business records, for use when applying for student financial aid. Most private loan programs are tied to one or more financial indexes, such as the BBA LIBOR Rate, plus an overhead charge. Financial aid may be administered through Danville Area Community College bursars office. High school grades are the most important factor in gaining admission to the college of your choice, along with letters of recommendation. According to Renton Technical College developmental psychology, an ideal academic record consists of a high GPA in courses of progressive difficulty. Peterson's scholarship search is good to check not only for college scholarships, but also for the extensive resources on the college application process. Both county and city governments have dedicated financial resources allocated for grants and scholarships to qualified students in their areas.
